A lot of changes are coming my way and I couldn’t be happier! My last day in Orlando Florida will be the 26th of April. I am moving to Dallas, Texas. I got a job transfer and I am going to finally start my own life with my husband. Yes, it will be tough starting out on my own. The last 20 years of my life I have been relying on my parents every step of the way. It’s finally my time to branch out and start taking care of my own responsibilities.
My mother is not pleased and hasn’t spoken to me since the decision, and my father couldn’t be happier and more supportive for me. So he is actually going to be helping me when the big move comes, while my mom will probably just shrug it off with a hug goodbye. I’m sorry mom, but I refuse to be like my eldest brother. I refuse to be 26 years old with no job, still living at home. I’ve grown to be a responsible adult, who can handle what needs to be done. All I wish you could do is support me and not shut me down and make me feel guilty and make me feel stupid, as if I don’t know what I’m getting myself into. How will I ever know if I can make it, if you won’t let me try?
I know this is the right thing for me to do, at this time of my life. I am young, and I am successful in my career for being only 20. I am able to support myself no problem. Everything is going smoothly step by step, and when that happens in life, you don’t ignore it. You follow it, and that’s exactly what i’m doing.
So just support me, that’s all I could ever ask for. Rant over.
